Version of this project
The Slovenian Pavilion at EXPO 2021 Dubai showcased innovative design with a blend of steel and CLT panels, highlighting Slovenia's commitment to sustainability.
Following the great success at EXPO 2015 in Milan, our partner CBD d.o.o. in Slovenia proudly collaborated with various highly qualified experts to complete the exceptional project of building the Slovenian pavilion at EXPO 2021 in Dubai, UAE.
The pavilion's unique design featured an optimal combination of steel and mass timber cross-laminated (X-Lam) CLT panels by Stora Enso. All CNC cuttings of the roof structure were performed in Slovenia, ensuring they were fully ready for installation in Dubai.
The architects of the Slovenian Pavilion at EXPO 2021 Dubai were Robert Klun and Sandi Pirš from Magnet Design.
Visitors could explore the pavilion at EXPO from October 1, 2021, to April 10, 2022.
