The almost exclusive use of wood and wooden materials, the exposure of wood surfaces throughout the entire building, and the well-chosen orientation of the two building structures were honoured aupreis.
Even from the outside, the company LignoAlp’s office building has a fascinating and impressive appearance, evocative of an over-sized wooden cube. The staircase, elevator shaft and entrance area were made with CLT, demonstrating the flexible functionality of this building material.
The new campus of OMICRON electronics is a perfect detailed, prefabricated wooden building. All used materials are environmentally tested. There are specially furnished rooms, which connect the floors and they provide complementary informal meeting, relaxation and inspiration zones.
In this CLT project, a vertically-structured wooden façade made of rectangular wooden posts encases the solid building structure, giving the impression of depth. The agricultural centre is accessed via a foyer which spans two storeys, whereby the Federal Machinery Syndicate can be found on the ground floor, and the Chamber of Agriculture on the first floor.
