Wooden towers for CLT wind turbines – In December 2012, the first CLT wind turbine was put into operation in Hannover (Hub height 100m). Wind energy has now become one of the cleanest forms of power generation. With the use of CLT for the TimberTower project, the final step towards an ecological product was taken. The TimberTower construction complies with sustainability requirements; it is a purely natural product (up to 99%), CO2 neutral, and can be easily recycled after use. Wood represents an attractive alternative to wind power.
