Version of this project
Porsche Digital Office is driven by dreams. and built with wood!
Welcome to the state-of-the-art in stress-reducing office space: the Wittywood. Made entirely with wood and designed for optimal well-being and productivity.
The mixed-use commercial /office building in the heart of the tech district of Barcelona recently got snapped up by Porsche Digital to house their HQ and develop future-oriented products.
Built with Sylva™ CLT Walls and Floors by Stora Enso the workspace creates a calming environment that stimulates creativity and social interaction.
A system of GLT beams and columns on which the Sylva CLT Floors and Roofs and Sylva CLT Walls rest, form the ribbed floor slabs and adapt well to the large spans for a highly flexible, adaptable mixed-use.

The building stands out in terms of sustainability because of the timber structure and its highest environmental ratings:
LEED Platinum and WELL Platinum.
Technical features at a glance:
-Building designed for 150 with a maximum occupancy ratio of up to 6 sqm (usable) per workstation (ratio 1:6).
-Reception hall with access control. • Underground parking for cars, motorbikes, bikes and scooters
-Exterior area on the 4th floor.
-Raised technical floors.
-Comfortable headroom (4,00 m on standard floors, 6,00 m on ground floor).
-Free height under ceiling of 3,76 m. Lateral bays of 2,91 m.
-Districlima air-conditioning system.
-Parking space for 10 cars, 6 motorcycles, and 18 bikes.
-Central space with 2 elevators.
-Photovoltaic panels.
For those who like to get even more technical:
The above-ground structure is composed of GL24h glued-laminated timber columns and cross-laminated timber (CLT) cores of a thickness of 4.72 inches. The floors are supported by GL28h double beams and are composed of prefabricated CLT with a thickness of 4.72 inches with GL24h Ribs.
For the calculation and design of the building, loading from self-weight, live load, wind, and snow was considered.
The natural frequencies of the entire structure were checked using RF-DYNAM Pro for dynamic analysis.
For the calculation and design of the timber beams and columns, the RF-TIMBER Pro add-on module was used to perform both the ULS and the fire resistance design.
The calculation and design of the CLT panels were done with an RF-LAMINATE add-on module, creating up to 9-panel configurations.
