Version of this project
At the beginning of 2017 the construction of Ethical Property Europe's fourth Mundo-centre in Belgium, Mundo-A, took off. The idea for this project started with a group of organizations in Antwerp active in the domain of sustainability, and wanting to share for years an office building with like-minded organizations. Mundo-A is a compleatly new office building and a showcase of a sustainable construction. The building can house twenty to twenty five private offices on approximately 2 000 m². In addition, there will be a reception desk, four meeting rooms, a multifunctional room, kitchenettes, a bicycle parking, showers and a roof terrace. The span in this project is supported by 3 slated wooden truss beams, and has an open plan structural design to allow future adaptability of internal walls. The Mundo-A office building materials were carefuly selected to meet the ecological and ethical demands of sustainability. Between Mundo-A and the Ecohuis, a green courtyard is laid out. 380 m³ CLT by Stora Enso in industrial visible quality (INV) were used in the project.
