Version of this project
Sluderno Kindergarten, designed by architect Roland Baldi, stands out for its innovative and sustainable design. The building adopts a compact, two-story structure that reflects thoughtful planning and environmental sensitivity.
The structure's walls and floors are built using prefabricated cross-laminated timber, (Sylva™ CLT Walls, Floors and Roofs). This combination ensures excellent thermal and acoustic comfort, contributing to a healthy and quiet learning environment.
Natural light and energy-efficiency
Architecturally, the building features a delicate and refined design language. Large windows allow natural light to flood the interior, while a green roof helps regulate internal temperatures, enhancing energy efficiency and comfort.
Contextual design
Inspired by the tradition of high-quality, site-specific, and landscape-integrated architecture, the new structure harmonizes beautifully with its surroundings, respecting the local context and natural environment.
Award-Winning Excellence
The project has received several prestigious awards, including an Honorable Mention at the Italian Architect Prize 2020, the Iconic Award 2020, and the BigSEE Wood Design Award, recognizing its architectural and environmental achievements
