The Hopealaakso Daycare design won a tendering process and an architectural competition organized by the City of Helsinki in 2019. The completed building is also the wood award Puupalkinto winner of 2021. Praised for its versatile, coherent, and natural use of wood and beautifully executed wooden details. Wood naturally plays a significant role in creating a homely feel throughout the two-story building.
