Version of this project
This Project was designed and installed by our partner CLT-S. Elmer Daycare Center in Schaarbeek, Belgium, was built with CLT massive wood by Stora Enso in 2018. Altogether, 82 m³ of CLT were used for this building. The modern construction material has an extremely welcome side effect: the healthy climate within wooden structures creates a particularly pleasant indoor environment and has a demonstrably positive effect on students’ wellbeing. Additionally to the well-being, Elmer wants to increase social opportunities, participation of families and children by organizing neighborhood services and high-quality childcare in Brussels.
