Version of this project
Instead of being torn down, a fifty year old school building was redesigned and extended for new education requirements based on a forward-looking resource management approach. The existing building was extended with CLT timber construction methods, the existing floors were re-structured and major improvements were made to the development. In 2012, this project was awarded the Austrian State Prize for Architecture and Sustainability.
