Version of this project
The two-storey boarding school building for students and guests of the Stoob Ceramics College in Burgenland, Austria was built using a highly prefabricated and resource-saving timber frame construction in combination with mass timber construction.
This construction method creates contemporary, cosy living and recreation areas. Building with (mass) timber not only offers economic advantages, but is also pioneering and sustainable in ecological terms.
Here, young people can learn about the advantages of an environmentally friendly building material. The use of wood and ceramics, both very durable materials, are an ideal combination for this site.
