Version of this project
The wooden industrial building Geschwornergarden in Falun (Sweden) is characterized by the usage of CLT-massive wood elements. The crucial aspects were the high degree of prefabrication and the short construction time. Due to architectural site and weak soil conditions, the building was made with ventilated crawl-space foundation. The installations of ventilation was done in parallell with the frame. A total of 203 m³ CLT in visible (VI) and non visible quality (NVI) by Stora Enso was used for the project. The modern construction material has an extremely welcome side effect: the healthy climate within wooden structures creates a particularly pleasant indoor environment and has a demonstrably positive effect on the well-being. This project was completed in 2016, altogether the wooden industrial building comprises 366 m².
