Version of this project
The extension of the Andel Elite Dental Center in Hlohovec (Slovakia) is characterized by the usage of KVH and CLT-massive wood elements by Stora Enso. The three-storey building has a rectangular receding floor plan with two superimposed floors. The extension of the centre is covered with a green roof and on the 2nd floor, there are the main areas of the examination and treatment rooms seamlessly connected to the waiting room. On the 3rd floor is located a lecture room, which also serves as a common room for employees. Facade is realized in Siberian larch which creates an excellent thermal insulation. Wood-aluminium window profiles with insulating safety triple glazing were used for all window openings. KVH and CLT as construction material ensures a fast and easy construction and contributes to a better indoor climate. Applied technologies such as groundwater cooling, air recuperation, etc. amplify the ecological principles. This project was completed in 2019, altogether the family dwelling comprises 245 m².
