Version of this project
The Résidence Abélia is a significant part of a wooden construction programme, featuring 90 collective housing units of 2 to 4 rooms each. This development consists of three 4-storey buildings and includes 2,300 m² of private gardens, terraces, and balconies, providing ample outdoor space for residents.
The use of Sylva™ CLT Floors and Roofs, along with Sylva™ CLT Walls, ensures high quality and sustainability. The project has been awarded the BBCA (Bâtiment Bas Carbone) label at the Excellent level, highlighting its exemplary carbon footprint.
Architectural challenge and solution
The mixed steel-solid wood CLT structure provided a robust and sustainable solution to the architectural challenges of creating a high-density residential area with a low carbon footprint. The prefabricated Sylva™ CLT elements ensured precision and efficiency, reducing construction time and waste. This approach not only met but exceeded the environmental targets set for the project.
