These six small-scale apartment blocks are entirely based on Stora Enso’s CLT element technology. CLT boards were turned into elements, i.e. provided with insulation, exterior cladding, windows and doors, at Pälkäne unit. The site ranks among the biggest wooden apartment block projects in Finland coming close to passive house standards. The project was completed in summer 2013 and nominated for provincial construction of the year.
