Version of this project
The wooden single family house in Dúbravka (Slovakia) is characterized by the usage of CLT-massive wood elements and insulated from the exterior with wood fibre in combination with a wood fibre board. The two-storey building with a saddle roof is located on a sloping plot with easterly orientation. Wood-aluminium window profiles were used for all window openings. The central source of heating is a ground / water heat pump. A solitary fireplace is used as an additional source which is also the dominant feature of the interior. The solitary fireplace is made of one piece of 4-ton natural stone, which was placed in the building through the roof during the construction phase. CLT as construction material ensures a fast and easy construction and contributes to a better indoor climate. This project was completed in 2018, altogether the family dwelling comprises 165 m².
