Version of this project
Teach Sprúis is an excellent example of a single-family dwelling built to Passive House standard in a tight, urban infill site with single-lane access and limited space for lifting equipment.
This three-bedroom terrace house strikes the perfect balance of sustainability, aesthetics and on-site efficiency with its south-facing, double-height living space and mezzanine floor.
It was made entirely from a Sylva™ CLT Kit of parts to Passive Haus Standards. Thanks to the strong collaboration between G-Frame Structures on mass timber design, supply and installation and EDEN Architects with their architectural vision.
The premanufactured Sylva™ CLT Walls, Floors, Roofs and Sylva™ GLT Beams enabled a quick and straightforward construction process with a beautiful finish.
The project was completed in 2024 and won the 2024 Irish Wood Awards in the small-scale private building category.
