At the edge of a tranquil Alpine village, the single-family home "Haus Mooshuben" is a high-quality residential project that unites architecture, landscape, and sustainable construction. The building was designed in close collaboration with the owners, with a clear intention to create a genuine "wooden house"—one that not only uses timber as a construction material, but also makes its presence felt in everyday life.

Clear, modern, and natural: architecture with mass timber

A central feature of the design is the use of Sylva™ CLT elements from Stora Enso, which were installed extensively in visual quality throughout the interior. The mass timber structure creates a warm, tranquil atmosphere—enhanced by UV hydrophobic coatings in light shades. The natural surface of the CLT brings together authenticity and architectural clarity. At the same time, the structural properties of Sylva™ CLT elements allow for spacious, column-free living areas with a high degree of design freedom.

Fast and precise thanks to prefabrication

Factory prefabrication of the CLT elements significantly shortened the construction time. Precise planning of details, including building services and electrical installations, was carried out in advance and enabled smooth assembly on site, which is a major advantage in an alpine location.

Living comfort with scenic views

Large windows and carefully planned ceiling heights allow light to flood into the building. The orientation of the house offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains -even from the bathrooms. The architecture combines openness with private retreats: a kitchen with a gallery and open spaces, a flexible guest room on the ground floor, and an additional attic gallery provide ample space for relaxation, daily life, and family.
