Sustainable homes are characterized by natural materials, intelligent construction methods and minimum energy usage. The Gneixendorf/Krems an der Donau passive house development achieved these aims through the use of Stora Enso CLT. Thanks to the prefabricated CLT components, the individual buildings could be built quickly and cost effectively. The modern construction material also has an extremely welcome side effect: the healthy climate within wooden structures creates a particularly pleasant indoor environment and has a demonstrably positive effect on residents’ wellbeing.
