Version of this project
A diverse and vibrant new community is taking shape. The nine-story mixed-use building is set to reinvigorate an underutilized area between Avenue François Arago and Rue Edouard Colonne in Nanterre, a suburb of Paris, France. This new walkable neighbourhood will house 12,000 people and offer a new range of apartments, alternative office spaces, and various shops, services, and facilities that will reduce the need for cars.
The base is composed of 4 shops opening onto the future Place d'Arras and Avenue Arago, as well as an office space on the first floor with a hall on the ground floor. The residential units occupy 7 upper levels, from the 2nd floor to the 8th floor. A shared garden on the ground floor and a green roof will enhance the building. Two basement levels will house parking spaces, technical rooms and cellars for the flats.
The exterior façade is punctuated by large sliding windows highlighted by bronze frames; some units will have balconies.
