Holzunion

For GBW Franken GmbH four seven-story apartment buildings were built in Erlangen Germany. The buildings were built using a hybrid construction method, with load-bearing internal and external walls made of solid CLT-wood and prefabricated reinforced concrete ceilings. Here, 812 m³ of CLT panels by Stora Enso were used in the construction. The project in class 5 of the German building regulation received a horizontal wooden facade in Douglas fir with a pre-graying coating. By applying the German energy standard EnEV 2016, the residential building met the latest thermal insulation requirements.
