Version of this project
The Sternäckerweg residential property construction project in Graz, Austria is currently one of the biggest “wooden building sites” in Styria. In a four-phase operation, 400 residential units with a useful living space area of about 27 400 m² are being built, as well as a kindergarten. Almost the whole project is planned as a solid wood construction using CLT (Cross Laminated Timber), while the basements and the underground car park are executed in reinforced concrete. The practical and ecological benefits of CLT are obvious: The possibilities of processing and prefabrication at the production plant guarantee faster implementation of construction projects, which reduces construction time and saves costs.
